TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A- These terms and conditions are applied between Medbikes, represented by Xavier Juhe Mas with NIF 38799902Y and the client who rents or makes guided trips or Bike holidays
B- The service can be contracted from our store located at Av / Paissos Catalans - 30 from Malgrat de Mar or Online through our website: www.medbikes.com
C- To hire our bicycle rental service, you must be over 18 years of age or older, and when you pick up your bike, provide an official ID card, driver's license or passport that authenticates your identity.
D- You must sign the bicycle delivery contract duly completed and provide a guarantee deposit, either an amount in cash or credit card charge that will be returned upon return of the bicycle, the amount will depend on the value of the bicycle.
BIKE HIRE PERIOD
1- The rent per day will be understood from 9.30am until 8pm.
2- In rentals of week or several days will be understood from the time of delivery of the first day until the last day of collection at the same time.
3- From Monday to Saturday they can be collected and returned from 9.30am - 13h30 and from 16h to 20h
4- Sunday only deliveries / pick-ups are made at agreed times.
5- No refunds will be made for early returns, late pickups, no-shows.
6- any change of contract (Time to return, delay, extended time) must be communicated to Medbikes.
7- Bicycles delivered outside the contract time will be charged an extra charge, up to 3 hours the amount of € 3 / hour and from 4 hours the charge of a whole day, depending on the bicycle model
8- During Races and events ( Ironman Barcelona, Santander Barcelon Triathlon) the conditions of rental changes and the prices vary according to the race also the periode of rental, minimum days, usually we go to place of race and we delivery directly, check rates and availability for each race.
9- The payment of part or all of the reservation (Cash or Credit Card) means the acceptance of these terms and conditions.
DELIVERY SERVICE
• Medbikes offers its clients delivery service to hotels, campsites, apartments and houses,
• The delivery service is always offered prior reservation and is subject to availability.
• Free service from Calella to Lloret de Mar (urban center).
• Other populations apply a charge depending on the distance from our base in Malgrat de Mar.
• Bicycles are delivered only to the owner of the booking contract.
PAYMENTS AND RESERVATIONS
1. The rental payment will always be made upon delivery of the bicycle, after signing the written contract duly completed.
2. Payment can also be made through our website: www.medbikes.com by credit card or bank transfer.
3. The client is obliged to satisfy in the bank transfers the possible commissions or charges subject to that operation.
4. For the reservations of packs and Tours the advance payment of 20% of the total is required at the time of formalizing the reservation and the rest 30 days before starting the Pack / Tour.
5. If the client does not satisfy the remaining amount of the reservation before the 30 stipulated days, Medbikes reserves the right to cancel or modify the reservation at its discretion.
6. The payment of part or all of the reservation, both by bank account and by credit card means the acceptance of these terms and conditions.
BIKE HIRE CANCELLATION
• Any cancellation or modification of the reservation must be notified to Medbikes through the email: rent@medbikes.com
• Cancellations made before 30 days before the start date of the first rental day, 90% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
• Cancellations between 29 days and 15 days before the start date of the contract, 70% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
• Cancellations between 14 days and 7 days before the start date of the contract, 60% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
• Cancellations between 6 days and 3 days before the start of the rental, 50% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
• Cancellations in the last 48h (2 Days) or no shows, there will be no refund.
TOURS AND PACKS CANCELLATION POLICY
1. Any cancellation or modification of the reservation must be notified to Medbikes through the email: rent@medbikes.com
2. Cancellations made before 30 days before the start date of the first day contract, 80% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
3. Cancellations between 29 days and 15 days before the sart date of the contract, 70% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
4. Cancellations between 14 days and 7 days before the start date of the contract, 50% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
5. Cancellations between 6 days and 3 days before the start of the tour/Holiday, 40% of the reservation will be reimbursed.
6. Cancellations in the last 48h (2 Days) or no shows, NO REFUND WILL BE MADE.
CONDITIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1- The client assumes the risk that the practice of this sport may cause to his health and declines any responsibility to Medbikes.
2- The client commits to make use of the rented material in full physical and mental capacities, in no case under the effects of alcohol or drugs of any kind.
3- The client is obliged to assume all legal obligations, code of circulation in Spain, its rules and prohibitions.
4 - The use of helmet is mandatory in Spain on interurban roads (roads of any kind) and under 16 years on any road.
5- Medbikes always recommends the use of the helmet both on the road and in the mountains.
6- The client commits to return all the rented material in the same conditions that were delivered as well as in date and time of agreed delivery.
7- If the material is not delivered at the agreed date and time, Medbikes may make an additional charge depending on the delay.
8- The client commits to a diligent and reasonable use of the rented material and does not make modifications of the rented material without the express consent of Medbikes.
9- The customer is obliged to notify as soon as possible any loss, destruction, theft or incidence in the aMedbikes material at 93 766 26 55
10- Any mechanical problem you have, you must inform Medbikes as soon as possible and follow the instructions of our staff.
11- No amount of repairs made in other stores will be reimbursed without the express consent of Medbikes.
12- The customer will be responsible during the rental period to ensure the safety of the bicycle and take appropriate measures.
13- In case of theft or loss, the customer will be responsible for the value of the material and will be responsible for the cost value of the bicycle or the market price of the extra equipment.
14- In case of falls or impacts, the customer must pay the damaged or broken material, as well as the amount of the assembly.
15- Medbikes offers the option of an extra insurance that covers breakages and damages that could be caused, as well as theft. The amount will be for the year 2019 of € 3 per bicycle / day.
16- This insurance only covers damage to the rented bicycle, not personal damages, the client must have a personal insurance that covers these.
17- The client will be responsible for the damages caused to it and to third parties, discharging any responsibility to Medbikes.
18- The client assumes the Spanish laws contained in these conditions as well as the jurisdiction of Barcelona in the courts.
19- When the client that rents is not individual but the representative of a group or agency, the person included in the contract will assume the due responsibilities of these terms and condition
